(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Denzel Washington cant believe hes never made a sequel, admitting hes got to get in that Johnny Depp camp.
The 55-year-old actor has had a hugely successful Hollywood career spanning four decades and has won two Oscars.
Despite appearing in numerous blockbuster movies, Denzel is yet to star in a sequel, and has teased he needs to follow in the footsteps of actors like Johnny, who is well-known for his portrayal of Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise.
Thats right. I got no franchise. I got to get in that Johnny Depp camp, laughed Denzel in an interview with Empire magazine.
The star gave an astounding performance in Spike Lees 2006 thriller Inside Man, about a police officer who has to talk to a bank robber in a hostage situation. Denzel says he may consider starring in a sequel to that as hes been in talks with Spike, but only if the script is top quality.
They may go ahead and make it without me, but for me the script isnt quite there. And Spike did such a good job on the first one, the sequel has got to be better. Theres no point doing it otherwise, he added. (C) Cover Media
