(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dev Patel says his girlfriend Freida Pinto makes him feel safe and inspires him.

The young star is best known for his appearance in 2008 movie Slumdog Millionaire, which is where he met Freida. The pair are blissfully happy, but find it funny they are constantly having to deny rumours they are getting married.

The 20-year-old is content with the current status of his relationship and says he can always be himself with the stunning actress.

�Love makes you feel safe, but excited at the same time,� Dev explained in the September issue of the British edition of Marie Claire magazine. �Freida makes me happy and inspires me. I am a mushy guy. You get to show a different side of yourself that you�re not very comfortable showing other people.

�It�s great to have someone to come back to who you can be real with, because you are playing characters all day.�

Dev has a laidback personality and says he has never been in a physical fight. Few things make him angry and he enjoys making people happy. The star is generally a positive person and he has revealed the only thing he can�t tolerate in others is selfishness.

�I am a bubbly person, I try to be energetic and send positive vibes,� he said. �Making people laugh is a big part of my being. Nothing makes me physically angry but what does tick me off a little is people being selfish. I don�t like that.� (C) Cover Media
