Dhanush who will be seen in a miniscule role said “I am dedicating this film to my wife, mother, mother-in-law and sister as the film has greater importance for women.” He winded up his talk in a short while as he is in a hurry to travel to Karaikudi for Venghai shoot. “I have met Dhanush to narrate Seedan's script and asked him to do a cameo role. His first response was that will it be good for him doing a cameo role at this point of time. I finally convinced him and he immediately gave me a 23 day call sheet that was needed by me,” says Director Subramania Siva. Seedan is the remake of a Malayalam film Nandanam produced by Mohan. Music composer Dheena has hit his 50th film with Seedan. Dheena says “Seedan will be repeating the magic and will set a milestone in our careers. I am blessed to work with Siva and Dhanush as we earlier worked in Thiruda Thirudi. I love all the songs in the film but to list my favourite song its Saravana samayal written by Pa Vijay”.
