September 1, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Dinesh Baboo directed Kannada movie 'Eradane Madhuve' has crossed 50 days of running at many theaters in Karnataka. The title of the film means 'second marriage' and the director made it a reality in his life by marrying his assistant Chetna, which is his second marriage.
The film was released in other states and abroad apart from the native Karnataka. The producers Rajiv and Suresh have earned good results for their first venture. Besides the Karnataka theaters, it has received a good response from places like Maharashtra, West Bengal, Mumbai, Chennai and California.
Producer Suresh was quoted saying that they have been able to recover their investment of Rs.1 crore and 30 lakhs and now they are earning profits. The film was not released in Andhra Pradesh because the director Dinesh Baboo is in the process of remaking the movie in Telugu.
It is a comedy starring Anant Nag and Suhasini Manirathnam. Sharan, Tara and Rangayana Raghu also play important roles in the movie. The lead actor Ananth Nag said that such a wonderful response was not expected.
However, producer Rajiv was disappointed at the removal of the film from some theaters in spite of receiving good collection.
This comedy movie was perfect for the family audiences. The story of the movie deals with a senior government officer and his family including his autocratic wife and three arrogant daughters.
