Divya Parameswaran is a Bangalore based model, who is quite familiar with commercials that have been frequently aired on all satellite channels and theatres. The actress is now all set to make her debut in Kollywood with the movie 'Ponnar Shankar', in which she pairs opposite Prashanth in female lead. Much elated with the film offer, Divya says that basically she wasn't interested acting in movies, but was open to offers from the film industry. The actress adds that she was surprised to get a call from Thyagarajan the very next day, the project was signed. 'Ponnar Shankar' has two heroines, one of which is Sneha. Sneha will be playing the sister's role of twin brothers 'Ponnar Shankar' (both the roles performed by Prashanth himself).
