Arjun's forthcoming Tamil film ‘Maasi ‘directed by Kicha, which was expected to hit the screens this weekend, might not do so, thanks to a stay order from a court.
In a press release from the producers of ‘Idhudhanda Police – 2’, Y Surender Reddy said, “We got the south remake rights of the Bollywood film, ‘Risk’ (starring Randeep Hooda, Vinod Khanna and Tanushree Dutta) and based our ‘Idhudhanda Police – 2’ on it.'
He added: “The film, starring Dr. Rajashekar and directed by his wife Jeevitha, is simultaneously being made in Tamil and Telugu. Recently, we learnt that almost 75 per cent of the scenes in the Arjun-starrer ‘Maasi’, directed by Kicha, are similar to that of 'Risk', for which we have got the rights.”
“We obtained an order in Hyderabad City Civil Court to stay the release of the movie,” Surender Reddy added.
