Newlyweds the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embarked on an 11-day tour of Canada and the US last week, and so far one of the main topics of interest has been Catherine Middleton's outfit selections.

The stunning royal has so far managed to maintain her status as a style icon, and yesterday unleashed her glamorous side with a tight-fitting frock and towering heels.

Catherine and her husband of two months Britain's Prince William enjoyed an action packed day, which included a visit to the Quebec Tourism and Hotel Institute in Montreal and a visit to a drop-in centre for homeless youngsters, Maison Dauphine.

Catherine looked effortlessly chic in her cobalt blue Jacquenta dress with lace detail by Canadian designer Erdem. The gown was teamed with on-trend nude platform stilettos, featuring a four-inch heel and a dinky clutch bag. Sapphire earrings completed the look and gave a regal touch.

According to reports, Catherine has selected 30 different outfits for her and William's tour, so fashionistas will continue to monitor her choices of attire with interest. (C) Cover Media
