Britain's Duchess of Cambridge has spent a reported 35,000 on "work-related" clothing since her wedding day last year.
Catherine Middleton - who married Britain's Prince William in April 2011 - is known for her impeccable style and has wowed an intrigued global audience in stunning creations since becoming an official member of the British royal family.
Now the real price of the Duchess' tasteful wardrobe is set to be revealed as the Prince of Wales opens his financial accounts for the first time since the royal wedding.
According to British newspaper The Daily Mail, Prince Charles has agreed to foot the bill for his daughter-in-law's "work-related" clothing, which, naturally, is required to be of highest quality and style.
He is known to fund his public work and that of his immediate family through the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate which includes land and property holdings and earned him a reported profit of 19.7million last year.
11.4million of the sum, including Catherine's clothing allowance, have been marked as the Prince's official expenditure.
Prince William in turn earns a rather more modest 44,000 per annum as a RAF helicopter pilot.
The Duchess started her royal life in style with a beautiful wedding gown designed by high-end label Alexander McQueen and the 30-year-old has been spotted in many of the fashion house's creations since.
She also regularly wears fashion designers Jenny Packham, Temperley and Issa.
However, the style icon has been proving herself to be a thrifty shopper by mixing the expensive garments with high street clothes and frequently recycling her favourite pieces.
Prince William and his down-to-earth wife proved once more they are fond of the simple things in life when it came to his birthday celebrations last week.
Despite reportedly inheriting a 10million estate from his late mother, the future King opted for a low-key day with friends in Anglesey, Wales.
Catherine is reported to have hired a "sea doughnut" ride for her husband, who was dragged through the sea by a speedboat on the rubber ring.
The pair continued the celebrations at a small rented cottage.
"For most 30-year-olds who have just inherited 10 million, the last thing they would want to do is freeze themselves on a wet weekend in Wales. But this is typical of William," a source told British newspaper The Sun.
