The festival of celebration and joyous victory over the evil has arrived. Navratri and Durga Puja have started and everyone is in the festive mood. It is the time of the year when not only the common man but also our bollywood stars celebrate the festival with full enthusiasm.
On the eve of Durga Puja, when all the pandals are ready and Goddess Durga is decked up in all her fineries, celebrities in Bollywood gear up to celebrate the Festival.
At the pandal in Balkan-ji Bari in Juhu (Mumbai), the family of late Sashadhar Mukherjee organises the puja every year. This year too, renowned Bollywood actresses Kajol and Rani Mukherjee attended the Puja like every year. Music composer Bappi Lahiri was also present at the event. Moreover, Rani mukherji asked all her fans to visit the pandal if they are in Mumbai. In the Lokhandwala pandal (Andheri, Mumbai), one can see singer Abhijeet on a regular basis. The puja is organised by him every year and is visited by many bollywood stars throughout the festival. While many celebs celebrate the festival in Mumbai, few bollywood celebs like Bipasha Basu and Koena Mitra make it a point to visit their hometown Kolkata during the joyous festival.
In the 1970s, top artists from the Hindi film industry, including Hemant Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Shakti Samanta, R D Burman, Asha Bhosle, Salil Chowdhury, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, and Raakhi used to attend the puja at different pandals every year. This year, along with the stars like Rani, Kajol and Bappi Lahiri, others stars like Gracy Singh, Rahul Sharma, Rupali Ganguli and many others also visited the Durga Puja pandals at different places.
While Durga Puja is celebrated among the celebrities with great pompous, Dussehra, the last day of the festival is also celebrated equally well but in a different style. 'Rascals', a Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn film is all set to release on the auspicious occassion of Dussehra. Moreover, films like 'Soundtrack' and 'Love BreakUps Zindagi' will also be releasing just a day after Dussehra.
Seems like the festive season plans to continue even after the festival is over! Fridaymoviez wishes everyone a Very Happy Navratri and Durga Puja!
