(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ed Westwick says American girls are challenging to date because they want everything to be perfect.

The British actor is best known for his role as Chuck Bass in US teen series Gossip Girl, and he has been in an on/off relationship with his co-star Jessica Szohr for a while.

He thinks there is a distinct difference between British and American women when it comes to dating. Whilst Ed has a weakness for girls born in Brazil he thinks British ladies are far more adaptable than those from the US.

How do American girls differ from British ones? Their approach is different. British girls soldier on, while US girls freak out and need everything to be perfect, he told Look magazine.

The 23-year-old doesnt count himself as an expert when it comes to the opposite sex. Ed was quick to dismiss comments he is a ladies man, instead professing his love for only one special female.
