Ed Westwick 'upsets fan'

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ed Westwick was "mean" to a fan during an alcohol-fuelled night, it has been reported.

The British actor is best known for his role as bad boy Chuck Bass in the hit US TV series Gossip Girl.

The star is believed to have had an eventful night out in New York on Sunday, where he and three friends "threw back shots of tequila," according to reports.

Ed apparently insulted a fan who approached the star during his evening.

"Get out of here!" he allegedly shouted at the fan. "They all started laughing. It was really mean," the source added to the New York Post.

The 23-year-old moved on to West 23rd Street at 1.30 am, where another onlooker claims Ed was in an agitated mood. The star is said to have launched a foul-mouthed tirade on innocent bystanders.

"He unplugged the bar's iPod without asking, plugged in his own, but didn't press play," the source explained to the New York Post. "We yelled to turn the music on. He screamed back, 'Who the [bleep] are you?' We told him to chill, and he said 'No, no, no. Who the [bleep] are you?' "

Ed's behaviour sparked animosity. The star reportedly ended up in a "shoving" match with an irate onlooker who became frustrated with his behaviour.

"They were shoving each other. No punches were thrown. My friend's husband pushed them a little bit and then they just took off," the source added.

Ed's representative has denied any such behaviour. (C) Cover Media
