(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eddie Murphy has no plans to curse during the Oscars but can't promise a profanity won't "slip out".
The comedian been confirmed as the host of next year's Academy Awards. He's looking forward to it, even though there is a lot of pressure on him to get it right.
The star discussed the topic with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who was keen to find out if he was planning to cut out foul language.
"I would think that there's got to be more than a ten-second delay with you," Elle mused. "There's got to be... I mean you're going to curse, aren't you?"
Eddie replied: "I don't plan on cursing. I'm not going to ... say sh*t - I'm going to say other things. I don't have any plan to, but every now and then, a curse may slip out - like just now, I said sh*t' on your show... I'm not planning on it, but who knows."
The pair also discussed Saturday Night Live, the American television show Eddie appeared on when he was starting out.
He explained he has no plans to return to it, revealing he hasn't always been happy with what he's seen on the programme.
"Over the years they did little sh*t, stuff where I was like, hey, f**k y'all," he said. "I'm not trippin'. It was years ago. I don't have any bad blood with that show. And that show is such a big part of my past I love being part of it - yeah, I wanna go back." (C) Cover Media
