Salman Khan's most awaited film 'Ek tha Tiger' was set to have a worldwide release on 15th August 2012, but the movie was banned in Pakistan.
A letter issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority to all satellite TV channels and cable networks last week, states that 'Ek Tha Tiger' is "reportedly based on the activities of ISI and RAW". The board feels that the film is anti ISI.
The trailers of the film were banned on television by the government of Pakistan, and operators across the country were refrained from screening the promos.
However, films director Kabir Khan clarified that the film is not anti-Pakistan and has no intentions of demeaning the neighboring country's intelligence agency. 'I will say it once more... #EkThaTiger is NOT anti Pakistan,' he wrote on his microblogging page.
Kabir, who is disturbed with the views about his film even before its release, has now decided to make a trip to Pakistan, along with the lead actor of his film, Salman Khan.
Both, Kabir and Salman have decided to visit Pakistan to clarify that the film is made in good faith and has no bad intentions. Kabir, who is also confident about his film wrote - "I am absolutely sure that once the censor board of Pakistan sees #EkThaTiger... they will be more than happy to show the film in Pakistan."
Well, let's hope Tiger and his team are successful in this mission!
