(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Elisabeth Moss thinks the great virtue of Mad Men is that it never follows obvious plots.
The 28-year-old American actress portrays copywriter Peggy Olson in the hit US drama series about life at a New York advertising agency in the 1960s.
Peggy has had ongoing chemistry with the shows lead character Don Draper, played by hunky Jon Hamm, since the very first episode in 2007. Elisabeth credits the programmes writers for letting the relationship simmer for so long without anything happening.
On any other show they wouldve hooked up that would have been the obvious choice, and we dont do that, she told Empire.
I think thats one of the great virtues of the show, and its allowed them to have a much deeper and more important relationship.
Mad Mens long-running cast members - including January Jones, Christina Hendricks and John Slattery have all seen their characters embark in complex relationships. Elisabeth thinks that the development between her and Jons characters has been the most interesting though.
Don and Peggys is my favourite relationship on the show. I think from the first episode its been a wonderful journey, she gushed. (C) Cover Media
