The 63-year-old legendary singer welcomed his first child, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, with partner David Furnish on Christmas day. The baby was conceived via surrogate, with Elton and David planning to keep the childs mother out of the spotlight.

With the new arrival a product of a surrogate mother, Elton managed to secure valuable advice from The Sex and the City actress who herself used a surrogate womb.

Sir Elton and David had become extremely interested in surrogacy by the time they spoke to Sarah and Matthew. They were able to give them an insight into how they coped with a high-profile surrogacy, both the ups and the downs, a friend told the Daily Mail newspaper. (C) Cover Media
