(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sir Elton John has created a playlist for his five-week-old sons iPod featuring his own music.
The legendary singer welcomed his first child, Zachary, with 48-year-old partner David Furnish on Christmas Day. The 63-year-old has already begun introducing the tot to songs from great artists, with Zachary having his own portable music player to listen to tracks on.
Weve been putting music on his iPod and he now has Chopin, Mozart, Carole King, the Carpenters, James Taylor, me, Linda Ronstadt and even Led Zeppelin lullabies, he jokingly told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Elton is determined to be a good parent and a positive influence to his new son. Growing up in a more conservative era he reminisced over a home life which lacked affection. Elton believes he will be able to take his disappointing experiences and channel them in order to lavish Zachary with the appropriate love.
When I was growing up in the early 50s, I didnt get the tactile love from my father that I will give to my child. Ill be a very loving parent. All hes doing at the moment is pooping, eating and burping, so hes a blank canvas and its very lovely to see. He lies there and he has no mortgage worries or thoughts about what hes going to do tomorrow. We just need to make sure hes a loving person, he said. (C) Cover Media
