The 27-year-old actress is best known for her role in 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada starring alongside Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. Despite the attention garnered through being a movie star, Emily is loathed to be labelled as such, believing that the word has become seriously devalued.

I hate what it means now because anyone can be a star these days you roll out of a car without knickers on and youre a star. I dont see it as a word that you should be in reverence of, she revealed to the British edition of OK! magazine.

Emily has no idea how her life would have turned out if she wasnt an actress. Though she has an interest in linguistics, she believes her laidback attitude inspired her to grow to love her current profession.

I didnt know what I wanted to do, to be honest. I was drifting around like most teenagers. I was going to go to university. I really love languages so maybe I would have been a translator. I just learned to love this job. I cant believe I have such a casual attitude towards it because I dont know what Id do now. Im not qualified for anything for starters, she added. (C) Cover Media
