Though earlier Emraan Hashmi was infamous for his 'lover boy' image, since the past few years he has managed to change that for good.

Emraan commenced his career with risks and continues to experiment with each step. He was the one who risked his career by taking up bold roles, and of lately he has been playing characters with grey shades with equal panache. 

He exclaims that taking risks is the key to success as anything conventional could be boring. "I have never really wanted to sort myself and other actors by any kind of list. I have always done films that I believed in," said Emraan who believes that along with critical acclaims it is very important for a film to have great box office collections.

Emraan also added that he does not want himself to be categorized as a stereotype, and he believes in experimenting, "I'd rather not belong to a particular list and just do films I probably did four years back. I don't want to get safer with the success of 'Jannat 2'. I want to do riskier films and make them a success," he added.
