August 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Lakmé Fashion Week aka LFW is India's foremost fashion trade event. The LFW is also a pioneer platform in promoting the trade and commerce of fashion. It has recently announced a total of 74 designers and a dozen sponsors for the LFW's winter / festive version for the year 2010. This announcement was made at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.

Last season, the LFW did make a move towards customizing the platform of the fashion week to the Indian market. LFW also introduced 'Resort'.
