Earlier there were rumours that Shahid Kapoor will play a rockstar in his upcoming film 'Udta Punjab' and now it is confirmed. The motion logo and character poster of the film is out and creating a lot of buzz. Shahid took over his twitter handle to share the motion logo and his character poster from the film.

He tweeted, "And it begins http://bit.ly/UdtaPunjabLogo  #UdtaPunjab. #UdtaPunjabStartsRolling today." The motion logo showcases the film's title 'Udta Punjab' in an animated way.

While sharing the film's poster he tweeted, "UdtaPunjab. #udtapunjabstartsrolling  today." The poster highlights a pair of quirky looking shoes with wings on both the sides. It seems like Shahid is performing on a stage while the crowd cheers him. The poster carries a catchy line 'Drugs Di Maa Di' and it also carries the release date of the film and it’s trailer. The official trailer of the film will be out on April 16, 2016.

Besides this poster, makers have released yet another poster and character poster of the film featuring Diljit Dosanj, which sheds little on his charater in the film. Diljit plays a cop. Click here for the posters.

The character poster of Shahid Kapoor showcases Shahid's wash board abs, couple of tattoos in the video. Long hair makes him look as a perfect rockstar. Shahid's character in the film is named as Tommy Singh and an excited Shahid tweeted, "Milna Hain Tommy Singh se ? #UdtaShahid #UdtaPunjab." Click here to watch the video. 

'Udta Punjab' is an Indian drama thriller film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, the film releases on June 17, 2016.
