'Kathiri Veyil' is a film directed by Amjad. He is also playing the lead role in this film. Meenu Karthika and Dhanya Mary are the two heroines. Thalai Vassal Vijay, Vincent Ashokan, Bose Venkat and Appukutty are also acting in this film. Director Amjad while speaking about this film said, "Every day there is terrorism throughout the world. Everyday different terrorist organization is surfacing. Based on this, the screenplay has been crafted. The story has the backdrop of a bomb blast in a crowded metro city. How a police officer investigates and grabs the criminals is narrated in an interesting manner".

"We have tried to make this film on par with Hollywood films. I think we have succeeded in this matter. Most of the shooting has taken place in foreign locales. We have utilized foreign dancers for the song sequences. The shooting of this film has taken place in Dubai for 40 days. Some of the sequences have been shot in Pondicherry and Pollachi."
