Gavin Rossdale is impressed by how well-mannered people are in Los Angeles.

The British rock star is married to Gwen Stefani and they split their time between London and Los Angeles.

Gavin knows some people dislike the American city as they think the people there can be fake - but he is happy there.

"What I appreciate about Los Angeles are the manners. In LA you can greet a complete stranger and he would most probably greet you back. In England they would just tell you to p**s off!" he laughed.

Gavin and Gwen have two kids together, Kingston, five, and three-year-old Zuma.

The boys are fully-fledged Americans, but Gavin has no problem with that. He teaches them about the UK and discusses what he misses about the country with them.

"I feel like an Englishman who's married to an American woman. Our children are American, that nothing bad. But I do sometimes miss the architecture, the historical culture and most of all the pub culture!" he laughed to German magazine In.
