Gene Hackman received minor injuries after being hit by a car on Friday.
The 81-year-old Academy Awardwinning actor was "bumped from behind" while he was out biking in the Florida Keys.
Gene is reportedly feeling well following the afternoon incident.
"Gene's fine," the actor's representative told TMZ. "He suffered bumps and bruises after a woman bumped him from behind in her vehicle."
Neither Gene nor his bicycle was seriously damaged.
"[He was] taken to a hospital for routine tests after being bumped," his rep continued. "He's suffered minor bumps and bruises and is already on his way home."
The Florida Highway Patrol informed TMZ that the actor suffered injuries to his head and body.
Local police authorities are currently leading an investigation into the cause of the crash.
The identity of the woman who collided with Gene's bike is unknown.
The former actor announced he was retiring from the profession in 2008.
He currently resides with his wife Betsy Arakawa in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
