(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sir Elton John should appear as Sue Sylvesters boyfriend in Glee, says Matthew Morrison.

The singer-and-actor plays teacher Will Schuester in the American show, which is about a group of high school students who bond over their love of singing. Sue, portrayed by Jane Lynch, is the schools acid-tongued cheerleading coach who is renowned for her sharp putdowns.

Glee is famed for attracting cameos from big name stars such as Britney Spears, and Elton has previously admitted he is a fan. He has publicly begged for a guest spot on the programme, so Matthew has made it is his mission to ensure it happens.

We should find a spot for him to be on the show. That would be awesome. He's a living legend. He just brings such a great energy and a great validity to everything he does, Matthew enthused.

He should do something with Jane Lynch. I think he should maybe play her boyfriend or some kind of love interest for her. I think that would be funny.

Elton and Matthew recently collaborated on Matthews upcoming album, due out later this year. The pair had a great time in the studio, although Matthew admits initially feeling intimidated. He was worried his voice wouldnt match up to his 63-year-old idol, but Elton couldnt have been more supportive.

It was supposed to be a secret that he was going to be on my album, but he's kind of telling everyone," Matthew laughed to People. So I guess we can talk about it. He's just the most loving man, and we had the best time. He was so giving and so supportive. We just had a ball. (C) Cover Media
