October 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The reunion of the Guns N Roses at the recently concluded concert in the O2 Arena was a big hit with the audience, who had all assembled to hear Duff McKagan play the guitar for the hard rock band once again. However, all was not well with the band after the concert ended. Reports from the London press suggest that Guns N Roses had to shell out a total of $108,000 as fine for late completion of their performance. They were reportedly three hours behind schedule.
Though the listeners did not complain about the performances crossing the 11 p.m. closing time mark on the 14th of October, the organizing committee of the O2 Arena has slapped a huge fine on the band for performing after the curfew time. And thus, while audiences went back home happy, the performers could not bask in the glory of their superb comeback after the end of their performance.
Bass guitarist Duff McKagan had earlier quit Guns N Roses to be a part of the band Janes Addiction. However, having quit the latter too, in the recent past, Duff McKagan decided to team up with the Guns N Roses once again. And one can easily see how popular the band is still now when the reunion of Duff McKagan with Axl Rose was received with loud cheers and applause inside the O2 Arena. The Guns N Roses performed to two gigs in the 14th October concert in London.
