Kamal Haasan, the man who worked in numerable roles and achieved perfection in all celebrates his birthday today.

On this special day for the actor who has won everyones love through his performance, is indeed a day of celebration.

Kamal started off his acting career as a child artist and went on to do versatile roles in the South as well as the Hindi film industry. His first movie as a child artist was 'Kalathur Kannamma' in Tamil. Kamal was only six-years-old when he faced the camera. His performance in his first film won him the Rashtrapati Award.

After that there was no looking back. Kamal starred in over 200 movies since 1960 and he is still very active in the film industry.

He has been praised by several actors from B-Town for his contribution towards cinema. Besides acting, Kamal has also worked as a screen-writer, producer, director, songwriter, playback singer and choreographer.

The actor is also awarded the Padma Shri and has also received the Honorary Doctorate by the Sathyabama University.

Haasan is married to Gouthami Tadimalla. He has two daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan from his previous wife. Shruti is also an actress who works mainly in the South film industry.

An actor with loads of talent and skills, Kamal Haasan has surely left sweet memories for everyone to cherish.
