The pretty and young actress, Parineeti Chopra turns 23 as she celebrates her birthday today. Bollywood's latest addition, this bubbly star has claimed to fame in a very short period of time.

Parineeti is born to parents who do not belong to the film industry, but her cousin Priyanka Chopra surely does. She was never interested in acting and always wanted to pursue a career in Economics and Finance, for which she went to the U.K. to complete her studies. Unfortunately due to an economic recession, Parineeti had to return to India and she took up a job as a PR consultant at Yash Raj Films production company.

While arranging and scheduling meetings for several actors, Parineeti's outlook towards acting changed and she bagged her first role as a supporting actress in the movie 'Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl'. This film made her win the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Her next movie 'Ishaqzaade' garnered loads of fame and recognition as she received critical and commercial success starring opposite Arjun Kapoor.

Currently, Parineeti is busy working for her next films that are yet to be titled but are scheduled to release only in 2013.
