Harrison Ford excited about working

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Harrison Ford is looking forward to working more in the next few years.

The 68-year-old star has enjoyed a lengthy Hollywood career and despite his advancing years, he has no plans to retire just yet. Harrison is as passionate about movie making as ever and has revealed he has several projects in the pipeline. He sees no reason to reduce his workload while he still has the energy and job opportunities.

I like to work; I am looking forward to working more. I have a good film out in July next year called Cowboys and Aliens that I did with Jon Favreau and Daniel Craig, he said in an interview with British television show Daybreak. There are still jobs out there for me and I still enjoy working.

Harrison admits it has become tougher for him to secure movie roles as he has got older, which made it easy to identify with the character he plays in his new movie. In Morning Glory, Harrison portrays Mike Pomeroy, a seasoned hard news journalist who begins presenting a light-hearted breakfast show. He realises younger Hollywood hunks are now being offered the roles he once used to get.

I got older, he got older and he got pushed aside for another, younger man, he explained. And I am old enough to be pushed aside, so if you are asking if there are any similarities between the character that I play and his situation and the situation I face in my own motion picture career the answer is yes.

Harrison went on to speak about the preparation he did for the role. He was required to attend an anchorman academy in Los Angeles so he could learn how to read the news. However, the star failed to find it useful, claiming it was a train wreck. (C) Cover Media
