(Cover) - EN Showbiz - David Hasselhoff "thinks it's fantastic" that fans are stealing his life-sized cardboard cut-out advertisements.
The TV star is featured in Cumberland Farms in-store ads at convenience stores across New England and Florida. David's image displays a huge smile while holding a cup of iced coffee in his hand.
Out of the original 570 cardboard cut-outs of the actor only 20 remain as fans have been stealing the adverts and bringing them home.
David thinks the situation is hilarious.
"I think it's fantastic and I encourage everybody out there to go get more," he joked during an interview on Boston's WHDH radio station.
"The first thing I thought of was that I was in trouble and then I thought, 'Oh good they're not accusing me of stealing, they're accusing people of stealing me.' It's cool and it kind of humbles me that people are still following David Hasselhoff after all these years.
"I just hope nobody gets in trouble but I encourage everybody to go out and see what they can do about stealing a Hoff but please have a cup of coffee while doing it." (C) Cover Media
