(Cover) - EN Star Style - Hayley Atwell loves her "sexy" costumes in Captain America: The First Avenger because they flatter her figure.

The British actress stars in the upcoming comedy book adaptation alongside Chris Evans and says that her on screen garb perfectly complimented her curves.

The 29-year-old beauty admits the 40s-style fashion was a particularly favourite part of playing her character in the film.

"I loved the costumes in my new film Captain America: The First Avenger, they were so sexy!" she exclaimed in an interview with InStyle. "The film is set in the 40s and my character Peggy Carter wears these custom-made military uniforms, with clinched-in waists and pencil skirts, which are really flattering if you've got curves like me."

Hayley has revealed she takes style inspiration from her grandmother because she always manages to look so glamorous. The stunning star respects the fact her elder relative is able to look beautiful even in the most dire of circumstances.

"I think 40s fashion is wonderful. My grandmother still sleeps in curlers and would put on lipstick to go and buy a pint of milk even during the war, she managed to look immaculate," she explained. "I definitely take inspiration from her when I dress up for the red carpet." (C) Cover Media
