(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dame Helen Mirren is reportedly set to star in a 12 million drama about the sinking of the Titanic.The 65-year-old British movie star is considered one of the worlds most accomplished actresses, having received an Academy Award for her role in 2006 movie The Queen.Helens latest venture is rumoured to be a collaboration with acclaimed screenwriter-and-director Julian Fellowes, who has penned a big-budget TV drama about the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 which resulted in thousands of deaths and has gone down as one of the most horrific maritime disasters in history. It is thought that Helen has been in talks to star in the show, along with 28-year-old British actress Romola Garai, who has starred in movies including Atonement. Set to air on UK channel ITV in April 2012, the series will take a four-part format, and is expected to be gripping. It is rumoured show bosses will go all out on production, which could see the programme cost as much as 12 million.There will be a cliffhanger at the end of each episode, building to an explosive finale. Viewers will find out which of their favourite characters survive... and which do not, a source from the channel told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. According to reports, shooting will begin in a couple of months time and will take place in Hungary.It wont be the first time Helen has starred in a show about the sinking of the iconic ship either, as in 1979 she appeared in TV drama S.O.S.
