Hema bestowed with special honor at Norway

23rd September 2012

When bollywood veteran actress Hema Malini was recently invited to perform her classical dance at Norway, barely she knew that this event would turn into a source of great honor for her.

The actress, along with her daughters, was invited to perform at the 10th Annual Bollywood Festival there on the eve of the celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. But this event turned out to be extra special for Hema and her daughters when the Norwegian government released a stamp on her name.

"It was after the performance that I was honored with the stamp. Both my daughters are happy for me. We did not know anything about the stamp. After our performance, the announcement came as a pleasant surprise for the three of us. But I am simply happy to be one of the Indians who have been bestowed with such an honor in a foreign country," said Hema.

The actress received the honor from the Norway Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Store.
