Cine lovers were in a major dilemma as three major films were set for a release on the same day of May 12, 2017. It was a clash between Irrfan Khan- Saba Qamar starrer 'Hindi Medium', Ayushmann Khurrana- Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Meri Pyaari Bindu' and Ram Gopal Varma's multi-starrer 'Sarkar 3.' But now the makers of the film 'Hindi Medium' ha pushed their release date a week ahead and the film will now clash with Arjun Kapoor- Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Half Girlfriend' on May 19, 2017.

Director Dinesh Vijan was quoted saying as, "After watching the film, we felt we should give an extra week to promotions since it has the potential." The last minute changes are expected to gather more attention towards the film.

'Hindi Medium' is a light hearted story of the struggle of a couple to admit their daughter in a high-class English medium school and 'Half Girlfriend' is a story based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name which is also a love story where Arjun, a desi Hindi speaking boy falling in love with a high society girl.

Mark the dates in your calendar now. 'Hindi Medium' will now release on May 19, 2017.
