(Cover) - EN Movies - Holly Hunter has reportedly signed a deal to star in Still I Rise alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis.

The 53-year-old American star is best known for winning the best actress Academy Award for her role in 1993 drama The Piano.

Holly has now been confirmed as the latest castmember for Still I Rise, the Daniel Barnz-directed drama about two mothers who decide to work together to help improve a local school.

The movie is slated for release in 2012, and according to Deadline, Holly has signed up to play the head of the teachers' union. Maggie, 33, and Viola, 45, had already been confirmed to portray the two moms.

In other news, reports suggest Holly is also in negotiations to join Romeo and Juliet, a new version of the classic love story directed by Carlo Carlei. Teen actress Hailee Steinfeld has been linked to the iconic role of Juliet. (C) Cover Media
