I have hiked my fee by 50 percent: Kangana Ranaut

31st July 2014

The success of the film 'Queen' turned the career of actress Kangana Ranaut by a complete 360 degree. She was said to be a thing of the past but made a filmy comeback with the aforementioned film. Kangana too confesses that things have changed in recent past for her.

"I was written off. People had given up on me. I was not getting opportunities, until Krrish 3 happened," said Kangana who played a superwoman character in the film.

In an age when actors refuse to talk about their fees and contracts, Kangana makes an exception as she proudly announces that she has hiked her fees. "Yes, I have hiked my fee by 50 per cent," smiles Kangana with her unabashed confession and ruthless honesty with which she is marching ahead.

When asked why she isn't in big banner films sharing screens with the biggies, pat she replies that she doesn't belong there. "Wasn't Krrish 3 a biggie? And pray, would you like to see me in Dabangg? Why should I get into a space where everybody else is? Working with big heroes, big films and doing as many movies as possible, is not on my agenda. I don't want to live a superficial life where I am unhappy from within," she adds.

Though Kangana's successful ride of 'Krrish 3' and 'Queen' was hit by the failure of 'Revolver Rani', she has no qualms about it. "It's okay. I didn't let it affect me. That film got polarized reactions," she said.

The actress who has always consciously stayed away from conventional love stories, will next be seen in another set of experimental love sagas. She will soon start work on an urban love story with Imran Khan, titled 'Katti Batti' and also next in the pipeline is 'Tanu Weds Manu 2'.
