Looks like this year is all about sequels, prequels and remakes of old movies. The excitement just keeps rising for the same as another movie is added to the list. Yes, we are talking about the film 'Tanu weds Manu' that will finally be making a second part to their movie.
Though the plans were on from last year itself, differences between producers Vinod Bachchan and Shailesh Singh had stalled the project for a bit. Now that everything has been sorted between the two, the plans have been revived again.
Talking about making the second part Vinod says, "We are already through with a rough draft of the film, which would be more of a 'prequel' than a sequel, since it would tell the story of Tanu before what we've seen of her in Tanu Weds Manu."
"We will be starting work on the project once my film, Zilla Ghaziabad releases on February 22. The film will be set in Lucknow and Kanpur and will also be shot in Delhi," he further added.
But there's an interesting news that actors Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma are in the front row to bag the lead roles in the film. Originally Kangna Ranaut and R. Madhavan played the lead, but their professional relationship didn't go quite well. Hence, the makers had to look out for a new pair in the sequel.
