2011's best debutant Parineeti Chopra hogged all the right amount of limelight for her small role in the film 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl'. She bagged all the 'Best Debutant' awards and attracted all the critical acclaims for her performance as a spoilt innocent brat in the film. The film didn't have her as the main lead as she shared screen with three other leading ladies. This wasn't exactly a kind of platform that a newcomer would wish for as a debut, but Parineeti chose the unconventional route. 

However, the actress revealed that she never planned to debut with 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl' as she was very clear with 'Ishaqzaade' in mind. But it was Yash Raj's head honcho producer Aditya Chopra who assured her that her role in 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl' would do a lot good to her, "Ideally, 'Ishaqzaade' is my dream debut. But Aditya Chopra had told me that I wouldn't regret doing a cameo in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, and look where I've reached," said Parineeti.

True to Adi's words, the film got her all the recognition and acclaim and also got the perfect momentum for her first solo film 'Ishaqzaade'.
