Jack Osbourne was "offended" when he lost out on a job because of his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.
Earlier this week, the reality TV star announced he has been diagnosed with the degenerative neurological disease. Despite adopting an upbeat mind-set about the condition, Jack has spoken of how the illness has impacted on his career.
"I had booked a job, right when I got diagnosed, and the company didn't think I could actually perform the job," he said on TV show The Talk, which features his mother Sharon as a co-host.
"Out of everything, that's what has really ticked me off the most because it's like, Don't tell me what I can and cannot do'. At no point did they call me. It was all through agents and lawyers I was offended by it."
Mother Sharon sarcastically added: "It was a really nice email."
The 26-year-old father-of-one didn't name the TV show in question, but according to British newspaper The Sun, it was NBC's Stars Earn Stripes.
The series follows a group of celebrities who are put through their paces by doing military exercises set by soldiers.
A show insider "admitted they didn't think Jack was up to the challenges". However the source denied that the correspondence was via email.
