Jacob starts auditions for his new film

20th June 2011
Director Jacob Vergehse is back in news after power star Puneeth Rajakumar's 'Prithvi' kicked up a row about the raging controversy of the mining issue in Karnataka

From a remake Savaari' to the original 'Prithvi' Jacob Verghese showed promise. He has now had auditions in Bangalore and Mysore to look out for fresh faces for his new film. He promises an entertaining one. "A lot of people wondered where I had disappeared after 'Prithvi'. I was taking a break and was penning a new story for which I am finalizing the actors. I know there will be a lot of expectations from me. That's why I am taking my time to finalize things," he says. Ask him a little more about the film and he says, "It will definitely not be a political film like 'Prithvi' but a love story with all the right doses of elements that an entertainer will have."

As for the auditions, Jacob says that he was very impressed by the talent he saw and he will soon be narrowing down the actors. "I will definitely want to work with Puneeth again. Unfortunately, he is very busy now with other projects," says Jacob, who is planning to make the film in Telugu as well.
