Fans and the industry eagerly await the release of his films as its always a good business for everyone. Hence when his latest release '
Jai Ho' announced its arrival, the fans and film fraternity were in a frenzy as it was after a gap of one and a half year that a Salman Khan film was releasing.
The film released on the Eve of national festival of Republic Day. Considering the patriotic theme of the film and its release date, trade experts announced that the film will rake in huge moolah. But surprisingly, the film has garnered approximately only Rs. 60 crores in its first weekend. On its first day, the film netted approx Rs. 17 crores followed by Rs 16 crore on Saturday and Rs. 26 crores on Sunday.
Trade experts at first were anxious with such a slow start but have stated that the positive word of mouth for the film has acted in its favor and they are sure that the film will gain momentum and definitely cross the 100 crore mark. As of now the film's performance is slow but its going steady.
Hopefully, Salman's fans won't disappoint him this time too.
