(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jane Lynch is desperate for her character in Glee to fall in love.

The 50-year-old actress portrays cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester in the popular musical comedy series which follows the adventures of a high school singing club.

Jane adores playing tough Sue, although she would like her character to soften up a bit and have a romantic liaison. The actress thinks the writers of Glee are talented enough to recognise that need, so she hopes to see love on the cards for her character very soon.

Sue Sylvester is a warrior and she puts that first, but you know, she does have needs. So, well have to see if shes going to allow herself to be vulnerable enough to fall in love, Jane told Access Hollywood Live.

And Ill bet that the writers theyre so good, and so hip to Sues jive, that I bet theyll give that to her.

Since launching in 2009, Glee has become one of the worlds most talked-about television shows, with A-list stars desperate to feature on the programme. Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears guest starred in episodes this year, and Jane has revealed she would love for hunky actor Javier Bardem to record an episode. Jane is such a huge fan that she admits she probably wouldnt be able to contain her excitement.

I heard rumblings of Javier Bardem wanting to be on the show. That would make me so happy, Id probably jump out of my skin, she confessed. (C) Cover Media
