Jane Seymour: My wrinkles show the real me

20th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Jane Seymour likes ageing gracefully because her wrinkles confirm who she is.

The actress, who is best known for her role as Dr Michaela Quinn in TV series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, explained that the lines show her true personality.

The 60-year-old former Bond girl said that as a performer, she can't afford to lose her facial expressions due to cosmetic surgery.

"I think that even today, when I'm 60, my wrinkles show who I am and that's what people like. I am an actress and it is extremely important that all the face lines can move," she told French magazine Bien-Etre & Sant. "I am lucky enough to have a good skin and to have stayed a regular woman without going for [face] lifts that stop actresses from displaying emotions."

Jane, who is married to her fourth husband James Keach, also revealed how she keeps in shape. The mother-of-twins has revealed she does little exercise and prefers meditation to a grueling fitness regime. Jane has recalled the days when she toned her arms by lifting up her twin babies, now aged 15.

"I practiced dance for a long time, but I can't say that I'm really sporty, even if I do a bit of stretching and crunches every morning. I lead a healthy life and I bear in mind that physical exercise enables you to keep your body in good shape," she said. "I also do some meditation because it calms the body and the mind. But the best exercise is to hold my twins in my arms. I took advantage of that a lot before they became too heavy for my little muscles!" (C) Cover Media
