(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Janet Jackson has revealed she always wanted a career in film and now feels she is fulfilling her destiny.
Janet has enjoyed a successful solo career but confessed that it was her father, Joe Jackson, who pushed her into the music industry.
The 44-year-old Scream singer is now starring in a movie called For Colored Girls, which is making her happy.
I wanted this to be my career I'm finally living out my childhood dream," She told Entertainment Weekly.
Janet plays a female among nine other women whose lives interact at various points for very different reasons.
Hollywood stars such as Loretta Devine, Kerry Washington, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Goldberg, Kimberly Elise, and Phylicia Rashad are also featuring in the film, which was once written for Broadway but has been adapted for the big screen by Tyler Perry.
Recently the beautiful and controversial star has dismissed rumours that she is set to marry Arab businessman Al Mana whom she has been dating since April after splitting with music producer Jermaine Dupri who she was with for seven years.
