Jay-Z has thrown an "OTT" party to celebrate the arrival of daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
The rapper was joined by celebrity friends Alicia Keys, her husband Swizz Beatz, P Diddy and sports star A-Rod to wet the baby's head in style.
According to insiders, the proud new father went to town with the celebrations.
A champagne tower made from 350 gold bottles of 300 Armand de Brignac spanned from floor to ceiling and was topped with a baby-carrying stork.
"All that preparation must have been thirsty work judging from the champagne tower Jay laid on. Nothing like that has ever been created before," the source told British newspaper The Mirror.
"It was a bit OTT but he's mad about his daughter. There's nothing he wouldn't do for her. You'd expect nothing less from the richest man in rap."
The party in Blue's honour coincided with the re-launch of his luxe 40/40 club.
Guests were served finger food including the venue's trademark nachos, Baja tacos, chicken sliders, catfish, braised beef short ribs, loaded mini-Philly cheese steak sliders and buffalo wings with "Blue Ivy" cheese sauce.
The biggest excitement of the night was caused by the possibility of new mother Beyonc Knowles making an appearance.
According to sources, Jay-Z's wife was due to step out for the first time post-pregnancy if there were no last minute baby dramas at home.
"Everyone was on tenterhooks wondering if Bey would turn up. No wonder security was tight. A lot of money has been pumped into Jay's club, with state of the art 165in video screens, and they weren't about to take any risks with gate-crashers," the source said.
