(Cover) - EN Star Style - Jayma Mays husband cant stand her dressing like her Glee character.

The 31-year-old American actress portrays uptight guidance counsellor Emma Pillsbury on the hit US musical show, and dons some rather un-seductive attire in her role.

Jayma admits her actor husband Adam Campbell, 30, cringes whenever he sees her resembling Emma, so she has had to alter her wardrobe somewhat.

You know, I had a lot of sweater cardigans before, but now when I put them on [my husband] goes, Take it off! Youre too Emma! So Ive literally had to chuck all my Emma-esque stuff out, she laughed in an interview with Grazia.

The star considers herself to be more fashion forward than her Glee alter ego and enjoys trying out new trends. She does have the help of a stylist though, and appreciates advice on the latest looks and emerging designers.

My stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and I always think it doesnt matter who the designer is, as long as the dress looks amazing. Famous designer or new designer, great. Im not afraid of trying colour and new things, she smiled.

I trust Ilaria completely because she knows what looks good and also what photographs well, which is something I wouldnt think about. I dont know that I feel like a style icon Im still new to this stuff. (C) Cover Media
