(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jermaine Jackson says he is going to back away from the public battle regarding the Estate of his late brother, Michael Jackson.
The performer has been embroiled in a bitter dispute surrounding the King of Pop's will and had put his name on a letter, alongside other siblings Janet, Rebbie and Randy, asking for the executors to stand down.
But now he has issued a statement on Twitter saying he was defecting from the family group but still remained concerned.
"I rescind my signature from the letter which was sent to the Estate, and which should never have gone public," he wrote.
"I still hold deep reservations about many issues involving the Estate, and I will continue to bring scrutiny and a resolute voice wherever we have cause for concern.
"But the way to address such matters is through the proper channels and via a private dialogue, not public conflict."
The letter came ahead of family matriarch Katherine's nine-day disappearance which worried her grandchildren and led to her losing guardianship of Paris, Prince and Blanket.
Meanwhile, TMZ announced that earlier reports they published claiming that Janet had slapped Michael's daughter Paris were not true. (C) Cover Media
