Jessica Alba is hoping to mirror Gwyneth Paltrow with her new firm.

The Sin City actress runs eco-friendly household goods business The Honest Company and is releasing a guidebook called The Honest Life.

She hopes to help other parents with the tools for raising their children in non-toxic homes.

Also in her material are her favourite recipes and lifestyle ideas, similar to what Gwyneth does with her Goop newsletter.

"Jessica was inspired by the success Gwyneth had with her newsletter and she wants to beat her at her own game," an insider told Star.

Both actresses are also experienced in juggling a movie career with husbands and raising two children.

Jessica is mother to Honor, three, and Haven, seven months, while Gwyneth is raising Apple, seven, and Moses, six, with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
