Jessica Simpson will "cry at the drop of a hat" now that she is pregnant.

The 31-year-old singer and fashionista is currently carrying her first child with fiance Eric Johnson.

Jessica has found that her emotions are topsy-turvy now that she has a bun in the oven.

"That's the one thing about pregnancy - I'll cry at the drop of a hat," Jessica quipped on an upcoming episode of American TV talk show Rachael Ray.

"Even a great souffl would make me cry."

Eating food in general has become a novel experience for Jessica during her pregnancy.

She celebrates every bite.

"This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," she gushed.

"And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

Being expectant is overall an incredibly enjoyable experience for Jessica.

"[I] really [love] being pregnant," she enthused.

"I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears. It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"
