(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessie J knew she could grow as an artist at home with her family.

The 23-year-old songstress is currently enjoying success with her debut album Who We Are, which has already gone platinum in the UK.

The brunette star has revealed that she could always rely on her family to encourage her talent.

"I had my moments, as every teenager should. At some point everyone should be like Argh, I'm stuck, I don't know what to do!' There were times when I cried because I wasn't doing well at school, and all my friends were, or I didn't have the best outfit, all those kinds of things," she said in an interview with Bliss magazine. "But my mom, dad and sisters always made me feel comfortable."

Jessie says her passion for music got her through the more difficult parts of her life, The British singer has revealed that most of her song writing was achieved at home where she felt she could be herself.

"One of the first songs I wrote was called Sky Is Her Home about myself when I was younger. I got bullied and also had to spend time in hospital. There were all these things that were going on, but when I went home, that's when I felt as if I could spread my wings and be me," she added. (C) Cover Media
