Jessie J: I'm not complacent

(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Jessie J insists she'll never get complacent about her success.

The British songstress is fast emerging as one of the country's biggest talents. She is currently promoting her debut album Who You Are, which has already gone platinum in the UK.

The 23-year-old singer, who has penned tracks for American pop stars Miley Cyrus and Chris Brown, says that although she is starting to reap the rewards of her hard work, she will never take her new life for granted.

"This life can be taken away a lot quicker than it can be given to you. Which is why I'm never sitting back and relaxing, going, Ooooooh yeeeeeeah! I've got a number one single!'" she explained in an interview with Bliss magazine.

The brunette beauty considers her music career in the same bracket as a 9-5 day job. Despite the fame, singing is her occupation and she treats it with respect, just as she would any other.

"I'm so very aware that however fun it is, I'm signed to a record label as a job. So you have to work hard. Everyone has to work hard at their jobs, otherwise you'll get the sack. And it's no different for me!" she added. (C) Cover Media
